Disobedient Body

Disobedient Body self-initiated project about the realities that take place beyond the framework of neo-liberal society, with the body as a territory of resistance and a space for otherness. During the course of our lives we learn to shape, alter, tame our bodies to fit the demands of the society we live in. Disobedient Body proposes to reject normative structures by reappropriating the characteristics that don’t conform to the western beauty standard/way of life.

With a collection of scarves, linked to theoretical sources, garments and bodies are explored as a publication platform for marginal realities.
